2008 Tempranillo
Double Gold - 2016 Oregon Wine Experience
Bronze - 2016 Int'l Womens Wine Awards
Tasting Notes: Rich and bold, this 2008 Tempranillo is intensely flavorful with the varietal characters well defined. Find dark blackberry and currants with complex with notes of chocolate, ripe plum, dried cherry and an earthy tobacco on the mid-palate. The finish leads with well-balanced yet grippy tannins and completes with juicy berry on the back palate.
Food Pairings: This brings outs the best in well marbled meats; creamy gorgonzola or earthy mushroom sauces; Spanish style foods including paella with grilled chicken and smoked sausages.
