Golden straw color in the glass, this wine opens with dried apricot, light clove and sweet toasty oak on the nose.  The mouthfeel is soft and lingering, rich with stonefruits and ripe pear then rounds out with almond on the finish.  An unusual Chardonnay with a blend of 60% new French, American and Hungarian oak, sur lie aged.

This wine developed in bottle-aging to be a highly unique wine.  It is masterly flavorful and provides a great wine experience on its own.  It is also wonderful with a buttery sharp white cheddar, almonds, pistachios or pecans.  Makes a wonderful pairing with most appetizer bites.
