2009 Tempranillo
Tasting Notes: The nose on this vintage is all roasted coffee and whiffs of cinnamon and vanilla. Being a classic Tempranillo, the aged leather and smooth pipe tobacco rounded with the warm vanilla on the mid-palate. The finish is dramatic with a bit of burnt roasted coffee rapidly dissipating into a smooth long finish.
Food Pairings: This brings outs the best in well marbled meats; creamy gorgonzola or earthy mushroom sauces; Spanish style foods including paella with grilled chicken and smoked sausages.
