Tasting Notes:  The nose fills the glass with sweet, ripe fullness of fig and caramel.  First taste brings rich black coffee moving to chocolate and caramel.  The finish is a dark French roast coffee with a hint of dried current and a tight minerality.

Food Pairings:   Pair with roast duck or lamb dishes or spicy pork.  The complexity allows it to showcase gamier or highly flavored meats, yet it works with cheeses and mushroom based dishes as well.
