2012 Tempranillo
Tasting Notes: The nose is rich with ripe blackberry, green apple and a bit of sweet maple syrup. As it opens, the changes are enjoyable to experience -- even trending to a cherry pipe tobacco note in time. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with plum and bright cherry notes with hints of caramel. The finish is long with soft tannins and a juicy tart cherry and tobacco note.
Food Pairings: Pair with grilled or braised rich meats or creamy pasta sauces and dishes. Gamier meats such as lamb or duck would do well with the bright cherry notes.
