2012 Merlot
Tasting Notes: The nose brings dried cherry with lingering cocoa powder and warmed baking spice. This unique Merlot is light in body – think Pinot Noir or Mourvèdre – a light, summer red. It has deep complex flavors leading with a bright fermented Montmorency cherry. Good tannins on the mid-palate that supports a long and pleasing finish.
Pairing Notes: This wine is high acid and would be best suited pairing with a creamy cheese or rich, oily cheese or sauce. Grilled meats, fish or even spicy Hispanic dishes.
