Tasting Notes:   The nose starts with a creamy chocolate and caramel note topped with a lingering sweet cedar and licorice finish.  The color is a deep plum and the mouthfeel is full, luscious and large.  Taste cinnamon and graham cracker, caramel and sweet cherry pipe tobacco on the mid-palate.  There is a peppery dry bite on the front palate and a long silky finish.

Food Pairings:  This wine is the perfect companion to any rich protein that is grilled or served with sauces or flavorful herb mixes such as chimichurri.  Its richness accentuates the food and holds its own.  Not overly fruity – its barrel-aged qualities make it a wine that works across most rich foods.
